Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Pierce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce misses with a body kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pierce.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pierce.
Nice defenses there by Bruce.
Pierce misses with a leg kick
and Bruce holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bruce pulls guard effortlessly.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bruce is on top in guard.
Pierce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bruce on the ground.

Pierce not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bruce pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pierce is keeping the position for now.
Bruce trying to control the position from guard on top but Pierce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pierce is trying to hold Bruce in close to prevent damage but Bruce has managed to pass into half guard.

Bruce is looking to advance position but Pierce won't allow it.
Pierce is defending against the submission attempts here by Bruce.
Pierce tries to roll over but Bruce keeps him under control.

We've been hearing good reports from Pierce's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pierce keeping hold of Bruce's head, controlling as best he can.
Pierce tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bruce has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Bruce wants to finish this one by submission but Pierce is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bruce.

Pierce wants to control but Bruce is having none of it.
Bruce looking to control but Pierce is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bruce wants to take his opponent's back but Pierce doesn't allow it.
Bruce working for a submission but Pierce is keeping him at bay.

Pierce wants to hold on but Bruce pushes him away.
Bruce working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Pierce turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bruce off and cradles Pierce's limp body as Bruce celebrates with his corner.

Jack Bruce looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'thanks for coming to the fight. I will be even better then I was this fight next fight. hope you come watch again'.
