The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alderete throws a wild body kick that Oliveira sees coming a mile off.

Alderete got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oliveira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alderete has managed to get both his arms back between Oliveira's legs - danger averted.

Alderete is working for a kimura here but Oliveira manages to reverse the position and he's now in Alderete's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Alderete has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Oliveira is on him like a limpet, forcing Alderete back against the ropes.
