Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tor Troeng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyro Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tor Troeng has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Troeng was well out of range. Poor timing from Maia.
Maia looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A telegraphed right hand from Maia misses the target.
Maia throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Troeng misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Maia is defended easily by Troeng.
Maia takes a swing at Troeng's ribcage but misses.

Maia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Troeng swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Troeng escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Troeng wants to stand and escape but Maia is having none of it.
Maia is working Troeng over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Maia loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Troeng escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Troeng working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Troeng fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maia manages to avoid it.

Maia shoots in looking for a takedown. Troeng tries to sprawl out of it but Maia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Troeng manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
