The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rua closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Holman to the mat! Holman manages to get full guard.
Rua throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rua is looking to work some ground and pound but Holman has wrist control.
Rua postures up and lands a big shot to Holman's brow.
Rua lands a couple of elbows.
Holman has momentary wrist control but Rua slips an elbow through the middle.
Rua wants to pass the guard but Holman is keeping the position.
Holman keeping moving, preventing Rua from controlling successfully.
Rua has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rua with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua chips away with some ground and pound.

Holman is rocked!
Rua loads up on a big left hand. Holman felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Rua looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Holman can't hide his disappointment, as Rua celebrates the victory.
