Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philo Beddoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddoe throws a series of punches but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie misses with a wild combination.
Gracie throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Gracie lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gracie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Beddoe. That did some damage!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Beddoe goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Beddoe but great work by Gracie.

Beddoe shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Beddoe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Beddoe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Beddoe is nestled in close to Gracie, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Beddoe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Beddoe's back instead.

Beddoe is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Beddoe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
