Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Jack Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Sebastian Mayo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Mayo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phillip Jack Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo has his takedown stuffed

and Brooks counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mayo wants to get back to his feet but Brooks is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mayo has his hands on Brooks's head, controlling the position.
Mayo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Brooks counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee asks Brooks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brooks prefers to stall for the moment though.

Mayo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mayo really wants to buck Brooks off and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mayo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Brooks takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Phillip Jack Brooks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mayo lands an overhand right.
Mayo looks to land a right hand but Brooks moved out of range.
Brooks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mayo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Brooks slaps away a takedown attempt from Mayo, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mayo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brooks circles away.

Mayo shoots in but Brooks avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mayo tries to close the distance and clinch but Brooks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mayo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

I think Brooks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
