Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dante Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie.
Hawkins tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hawkins to see if he's OK.

It looks like Dante Hawkins has been cut.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Hawkins looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Gracie! Submission of the night perhaps?
