Wonka is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mr Rotten Treats - Insane Clown Posse. Willy Wonka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, John Bonham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willy Wonka!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonham scores with a nice strike.


It looks like Willy Wonka has been cut.
Wonka doesn't manage to clinch there - Bonham circles away.
Bonham wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Wonka has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bonham.
Wonka connects with a nice looking jab.
Wonka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wonka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bonham throws a big shot that misses.
Bonham tests Wonka's chin there with a solid looking shot.
John Bonham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonham has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bonham there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bonham ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wonka moves away.
Bonham tries to clinch up but Wonka circles away and keeps his distance.
Bonham throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bonham throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wonka sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wonka throws a looping overhand right but Bonham ducks down to avoid it.
Bonham seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Bonham tries to keep at a distance but Wonka has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wonka is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Wonka throws a head punch that misses.
Wonka makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wonka working aggressively here.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wonka has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bonham pushes Wonka back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bonham misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wonka tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bonham comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Bonham is looking to control Wonka's arms but Wonka gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bonham has his back to the cage.
Bonham throws a punch but it's blocked by Wonka.
Wonka blocks an uppercut.
Wonka can't find room to land a body shot as Bonham controls the action.
Wonka throws a punch but it's blocked by Bonham.
Bonham fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bonham with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bonham is stalling here.
Bonham lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wonka backwards.
Wonka misses with a hook from the clinch.
Wonka gets through Bonham's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Bonham is pressed up against the cage. Wonka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bonham down to the mat. Bonham avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Wonka closes the distance and pushes Bonham back into the cage.

Wonka manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bonham is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bonham's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Wonka tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bonham really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wonka is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bonham slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Wonka is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bonham is aware though and is defending well.
Bonham will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wonka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bonham defends well.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wonka is on top in guard.

Bonham is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wonka trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Bonham manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!


That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bonham engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Bonham has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Wonka is looking for a triangle here but Bonham uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Bonham will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Willy Wonka's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bonham looks to land a right hand but Wonka moved out of range.
Wonka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bonham manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wonka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bonham connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Wonka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wonka misses with a wild body shot.
Wonka is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
John Bonham is winning the standup battle so far.

Wonka gets the takedown into side control.
Bonham is trying to control Wonka's posture but Wonka avoids it.

Wonka has hold of Bonham's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bonham seems comfortable defending it but Wonka has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bonham is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bonham is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wonka couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Willy Wonka!
After the big win, Willy Wonka made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors GREEN!160 and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
