The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd tries to sprawl but Oliveira drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Todd wants to control but Oliveira is keeping busy.
Oliveira takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Todd tries to get to full guard but Oliveira has control of the leg.
Oliveira is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Todd defends it well.

Todd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oliveira on the ground.

Oliveira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Todd napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Todd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Oliveira controls Todd momentarily but Todd frees himself.
Todd has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Todd postures up in Oliveira's guard and throws a big left but Oliveira blocks it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Manual Todd.
I think Oliveira has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
