PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leopoldo Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Fortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Leopoldo Hewitt has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Leopoldo Hewitt seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Fortiz!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fortiz moves into the clinch successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Hewitt looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fortiz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hewitt is keen to just control but Fortiz is a slippery customer.

Hewitt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hewitt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Brian Fortiz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hewitt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hewitt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I think Fortiz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
