Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesco White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barril Salvador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes to the cage accompanied by Smoke the Fire. Jesco White could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Barril Salvador's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 20 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesco White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Barril Salvador!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvador swings for the body but White moves out of range.
White goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Barril Salvador has been cut.
A low kick from Salvador misses
and White counters with a left and a right that stings Salvador.
White tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Salvador counters with a leg kick.
Salvador avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
White will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

White gets to his feet. Salvador looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
White circles away from the clinch attempt

and White counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by White.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

White tries to stand but Salvador is controlling from the bottom.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Salvador on the ground.
Salvador is trying to control the position but White postures up.

Salvador escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Salvador wants to get back to his feet but White is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White wants to control from the top but Salvador keeps moving.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salvador has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Salvador's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Salvador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

White avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
White has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Salvador is proving hard to escape from.
Salvador is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Salvador is keeping the position for now.

Salvador throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! White escapes and throws Salvador's legs to the side, diving into side control!

White decides to stand up, so the ref orders Salvador to his feet.
White swings away with a leg kick that misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salvador looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Salvador has a takedown stuffed.
Salvador wants to clinch.
White walks into a stiff left hand from Salvador.
Salvador blocks a head kick by White.
A solid leg kick lands there for Salvador.

White shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salvador sprawls well. Salvador wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. White gets slowly back to his feet.
White takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Salvador dodges the punch combination from White.
Salvador looks to land a combination. White sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
White fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
White wants to clinch up but Salvador keeps it at a distance.
Barril Salvador seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

White manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Salvador on his heels. He'll look to pass Salvador's guard now, I'm sure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
White stops Salvador from standing up.

Salvador working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. White doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. White manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Salvador throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
White uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Salvador.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Salvador breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Salvador lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and White has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from White and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Barril Salvador seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Salvador throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
White is looking to land body kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

White has taken the fight to the clinch.
White has Salvador pushed against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by White.
White prevents Salvador from breaking the clinch.

White works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Salvador wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.

Salvador isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. White stacks Salvador on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by White!
White is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Salvador will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Salvador tries to escape but White is in control.

Salvador explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

White has taken the fight to the clinch.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
White is looking to clinch.

White keeps the fight on the outside.

Jesco White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salvador can do to turn this around?

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
White is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

White is trying to maintain a safe position but Salvador gets an underhook and turns White into the cage.

Salvador's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


White shoots in looking for a takedown. Salvador tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Salvador manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Salvador blocks a head kick by White.
White shoots for a double leg takedown but Salvador sprawls well. He's pushed White's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

White shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Salvador napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Salvador is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Salvador looks like he's trying to stand up.
Salvador is refusing to be controlled, as White sits in half guard.
Salvador is looking to control White's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salvador avoid being mounted?

Salvador regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from White.
White stops Salvador from standing up.
White controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

White stands up out of the half guard.

White fails with a takedown attempt.
Salvador wants to clinch.
Salvador tries to clinch but White moves out of range.

Salvador shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Salvador showed some decent athleticism there.
White gets full guard.
Salvador loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
White lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jesco White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
White with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Barril Salvador has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Salvador is not content to let White control the position.

Salvador is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but White pulls his head out easily.
Salvador scores with a few weak punches.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jesco White.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for White, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
