Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harry Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chras Watsky!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Watsky.

Slater has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bushido Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Watsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Slater counters with a single leg into guard. Watsky didn't expect that.

Slater stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Slater fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Watsky looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Watsky fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slater has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Slater is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Slater moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Chras Watsky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Watsky lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Watsky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Harry Slater.
Well Slater has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
