Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf has chosen Shawnee Sioux War Dance as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Binse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Red Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf misses with a left hand

and Binse counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wolf won't be happy with that.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Binse throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Binse trying to control the action but Wolf is working from the bottom.
Binse throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Binse creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Wolf told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Binse looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Binse connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Binse throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

A nice elbow there by Binse.
Binse pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Binse wants to control the pace but Wolf is squirming around nicely.
Poor strikes thrown by Binse there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The referee warns Wolf that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Binse thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Binse lands a big elbow.
Binse unloads with some shots from mount but Wolf bucks and avoids them well.
Wolf tries to reverse the position but Binse maintains control.
Wolf holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Binse tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Binse thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Binse dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Binse.
Binse thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Wolf if he has to take too many more of those.
Wolf lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Binse throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Binse wants to slow Wolf down by chopping away at his legs.
Wolf lands a head shot.
Binse takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Binse. Wolf does a little dance to reset his feet.
Binse takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Binse misses with a low kick as Wolf jumps back.
Wolf misses with a hook. Binse ducked under it nicely.
Binse shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wolf as he jumps to the side.

Binse throws a leg kick
enabling Wolf to counter with a crisp jab.
Wolf gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Binse connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Binse darts in trying to clinch
and Wolf counters with a one-two to the body.
Red Wolf is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wolf throws a sloppy head kick and Binse moves out of range easily.
Nice shot lands for Binse.
Christopher Binse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolf throws out a loose jab but Binse uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wolf avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
A big left from Wolf misses.

Binse rushes Wolf and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wolf is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Wolf is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Binse is defending well for now.

Binse tries to work over Wolf's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Binse is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wolf can do to turn this around?

Wolf connects with a body shot.
Binse looks for the body kick but Wolf saw that one coming.
Wolf just misses with a punch to the body.
Wolf takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Wolf scores with a nice strike.
Binse with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wolf steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Binse.
Both fighters circling a little - Binse finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Binse counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wolf manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Binse manages to get himself to full guard.

Binse closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wolf throws a leg kick but Binse sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Wolf throws an overhand right that lands on Binse's shoulder, as Binse tries to avoid the shot.

Red Wolf has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wolf throws a body punch but Binse moves out of range.
Binse wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Christopher Binse.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Binse, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
