Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris drives through with a takedown into Smith's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Smith doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Harris is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Harris eats them both and turns towards Smith to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Smith throws a looping overhand right but Harris ducks down to avoid it.
Harris rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smith wants to break the clinch but can't.
Harris has Smith pressed against the cage, preventing Smith from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Harris gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Harris is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Harris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harris postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Harris is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Harris is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Harris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Smith get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Smith stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Harris runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
