Golovkin has chosen Cassidy G.O.A.T as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Johnny Golovkin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carney takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Golovkin misses with a leg kick
and Carney counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Golovkin throws out a leg kick but Carney moves out of range and Golovkin only half commits.
Carney shoots in looking for a takedown but Golovkin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carney's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Carney shoots in for a double leg but Golovkin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Golovkin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Golovkin wants it to stay on the feet.

Carney walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Carney limp body while Golovkin jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
