The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abreakyou tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kazaev defends well and Abreakyou ends up having to push Kazaev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Abreakyou is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kazaev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Kazaev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Roman Kazaev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Abreakyou.
Abreakyou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kazaev tries to avoid it but Abreakyou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kazaev to the ground. Kazaev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kazaev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Abreakyou, pushing him back against the cage.
Kazaev content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kazaev pushes Abreakyou back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Kazaev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Abreakyou tries for a takedown but Kazaev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kazaev shoots in and bounces Abreakyou off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kazaev tries to stand but Abreakyou is controlling from the bottom.

Abreakyou looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kazaev stands and steps away. Abreakyou gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Abreakyou looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kazaev gets in close and instigates a clinch.

A short body shot lands from Kazaev as the two fighters clinch.

Abreakyou jumps guard but Kazaev turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kazaev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Abreakyou gets tackled into the cage by Kazaev. Kazaev maintains the clinch.

Kazaev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kazaev shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Abreakyou manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kazaev wants to stand but Abreakyou has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kazaev gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Kazaev lands a big head kick that sends Abreakyou tumbling to the mat! Kazaev takes a step backwards and waves Abreakyou back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Abreakyou is rocked!

It looks like Ivan Abreakyou has been cut.

Kazaev lands a huge takedown. Abreakyou is out but the ref is slow to react and Kazaev lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Abreakyou lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
