The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Datsik fails to land with a series of punches.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw O Connor working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

O Connor cracks Datsik with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
O Connor has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from O Connor there as he acknowledges the shot.

and O Connor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Datsik's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and O Connor counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Datsik!

O Connor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Datsik pulls O Connor in close to prevent any damage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Datsik stalks O Connor and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into O Connor's face. O Connor staggers backwards, shaken.

Datsik takes a swing at O Connor's ribcage but misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Datsik.

Donk. Datsik catches O Connor right on the button with a cross.
Datsik clobbers O Connor with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Datsik lands with a kick to the ribs.

A telegraphed right hand from O Connor misses the target.
O Connor misses with a looping right.
O Connor throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Datsik on the side of the head.

Datsik feints a jab promting O Connor to slip. Datsik then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. O Connor slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Datsik has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from O Connor finds it's way round the side to connect with Datsik's head.

Datsik is rocked!
O Connor closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Datsik! O Connor dives in looking to finish! Datsik is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jia O Connor!
A relieved looking Jia O Connor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
