Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Dundee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean McIntire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean McIntire will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Dundee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sean McIntire!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dundee moves into the clinch successfully.
Dundee pressing his opponent against the cage.

Dundee pulls guard effortlessly.
Dundee controls McIntire momentarily but McIntire frees himself.
Dundee wants to improve his position but instead McIntire has moved into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McIntire prevents Dundee from improving his position.
McIntire takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dundee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McIntire is working away from the top position though.
Dundee holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Dundee is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McIntire pulls his head out easily.
Dundee definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dundee is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dundee shoots for a double leg takedown but McIntire sprawls well. He's pushed Dundee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dundee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dundee goes for a takedown attempt but McIntire pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
McIntire keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Dundee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dundee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McIntire but McIntire pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dundee is defended easily by McIntire.

Dundee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McIntire is pushing Dundee up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Dundee is trying to push McIntire away but McIntire has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Dundee will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

McIntire is pressed up against the cage. Dundee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McIntire down to the mat. McIntire avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
McIntire keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dundee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McIntire defends well and Dundee ends up having to push McIntire into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

McIntire has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dundee is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Dundee stands up.
Dundee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dundee tries to score a power double leg takedown but McIntire sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dundee somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Dundee will probably get the nod.
That's time! Dundee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Dundee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dundee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

McIntire's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dundee jumps guard but McIntire stands there with Dundee around his waist. Dundee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McIntire is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The crowd are getting on McIntire's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Dundee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McIntire fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Dundee has taken the fight to the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Michael Dundee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dundee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After winning the bout, Michael Dundee thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Sean McIntire was interviewed post fight and said 'Well it is what it is offense will soon come'.
