Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clifton Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clifton Barnes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes looks to land a combination. Turk sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Turk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barnes as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Turk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've been informed that Barnes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Turk takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Turk fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A chopping leg kick lands by Barnes.
Turk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barnes defends it nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Barnes. No joy for Turk on that attempt.

Turk shoots in looking for a takedown but Barnes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A slapping leg kick lands for Barnes.
Barnes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barnes cracks Turk with an open hand slap.
Turk misses with a double jab.
Barnes lands a nice leg kick that just misses Turk's sensitive parts.
Barnes lands a head shot.
Barnes moves out of range of the body kick from Turk.
Turk shoots in for a double leg but Barnes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Clifton Barnes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turk fails with a takedown attempt.

Turk looks to land a combination but Barnes avoids it well.
Turk shoots in and drives through. Barnes sprawls well.
Barnes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Turk has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barnes scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Barnes connects with a leg kick. Turk looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Barnes throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Turk has been working on his balance at Helsinki Public Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Barnes.
Barnes cracks the inside of Turk's front leg.
Turk misses with an uppercut. Barnes saw that one coming.
Turk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Turk is breathing heavily.
Turk looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round.

Turk is rocked!
Barnes cracks Turk on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Turk falls backwards against the cage. Barnes follows up with more strikes that drop Turk to his knees. Barnes keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Turk! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clifton Barnes!
