The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemi throws a series of punches but Dennis moves out of range.
Hemi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dennis circles away quickly and effectively.
Dennis doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hemi's coach down at Foot Loves was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hemi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Dennis takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Hemi throws a looping overhand right but Dennis ducks down to avoid it.
Dennis throws a combination. Hemi tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Dennis scores with a hook to the body. Hemi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Jet Hemi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hemi misses the shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dennis seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Hemi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hemi throws the kick towards the body but Dennis avoids it.

A jab from Dennis finds it's way through Hemi's defenses.
Hemi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dennis on the side of the head.
Hemi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dennis is able to avoid easily.
Hemi slips a jab and a cross from Dennis.
Dennis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hemi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hemi tries to land a leg kick but Dennis saw it coming and moves away.
Hemi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dennis counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dennis misses with a two punch combination.

and Dennis counters with a left to the body.
Hemi connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Daniel Dennis has been cut.
Hemi throws a wild body kick that Dennis sees coming a mile off.
Dennis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hemi throws a leg kick but Dennis sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Hemi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The crowd cheers as Hemi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dennis doesn't seem phased though.

Hemi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hemi there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Dennis counters with a left to the body.

Dennis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hemi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Dennis lands a glancing blow to the side of Hemi's head.
Hemi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Dennis connects with a body shot.
Hemi is looking to clinch but Dennis is avoiding it.

Donk. Hemi catches Dennis right on the button with a cross.
Hemi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hemi lands an overhand right.

Dennis is rocked!
Hemi steps in with a hook that catches Dennis right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Hemi follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dennis looks absolutely devastated.
