Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jerry Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Marleau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Marleau is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Jerry Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patrick Marleau!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee swings for the body but Marleau moves out of range.
Marleau moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.

Marleau closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Lee pulls Marleau in close to his closed guard and prevents Marleau from doing any damage or advancing position.
Lee wants to sweep but no luck.
Marleau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee pulls Marleau in close to his closed guard and prevents Marleau from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lee looking to score a takedown here. Marleau is defending well but Lee drives through and ends up in Marleau's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Marleau had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lee defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee wants to control from the top but Marleau keeps moving.
Marleau controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.
Lee advances to half guard.
Marleau is looking for a sweep. Lee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lee is looking for a kimura here.

Lee is working for a submission of some sort.

Lee seems to be looking for submissions.
Marleau wants to improve his position but Lee is controlling well.

Marleau is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lee pulls his head out easily.
Marleau won't allow Lee to pass to mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Marleau trying to hold on to Lee's head to control him but Lee postures up.
Lee keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Lee is trying to work for a kimura but Marleau is defending well.
Marleau is trying to get back to full guard.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Marleau is defending well.

Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Marleau is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lee's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Jerry Lee will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The fighters are battling for position here. Lee manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Marleau has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lee is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Lee misses with a wild body shot.

Marleau changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lee is trying to control Marleau's posture but Marleau avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marleau has hold of Lee's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lee tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Marleau cranks the arm and Lee screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lee, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Patrick Marleau!
Patrick Marleau gave a mention to Devotion Energy Inc (Laundry)(Flights) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
