Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roy Oliveira!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tiny Schroeder!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schroeder dives in and grabs Oliveira's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oliveira pushes down on Schroeder's head and hops out.
Oliveira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Schroeder counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Oliveira!
Oliveira is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Pitbull MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Schroeder is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Oliveira defends well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Schroeder has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Oliveira after a bit of a struggle.

Oliveira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Schroeder looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Schroeder looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Schroeder!
