Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowmeister throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bowmeister swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bowmeister avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bowmeister throws a leg kick which misses Coleman's front leg but catches the back leg as Coleman tries to avoid it.
Bowmeister throws a lazy right hand but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bowmeister connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Coleman moves into the clinch.
Coleman tries to land knees in the clinch but Bowmeister avoids the damage to the body.
Coleman lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Dino Bowmeister has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman wants to control but Bowmeister is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowmeister. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bowmeister is working away from the top position though.

Coleman's coach down at Foot Loves was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Coleman's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Bowmeister has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Coleman regains guard immediately.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Coleman can do anything to dispel that myth.
