Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinju Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Robinson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida darts in trying to clinch

and Robinson counters with a left and a right that hurts Yoshida! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Robinson jumps into full mount!

Yoshida is rocked!
Yoshida's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Robinson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Yoshida is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Robinson rushes Yoshida and presses him up against the cage.

With the fighters up against the cage, Yoshida throws an elbow but misses.

Robinson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Oh Yoshida is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Yoshida is countered with a crisp right hand from Robinson that sends him to the canvas! Robinson follows him to the mat into side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Yoshida tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Yoshida seems to have got his legs back now.

Robinson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yoshida to his feet.

Yoshida has his foot on Robinson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Robinson works his way back into a safe position though.

Sean Robinson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Robinson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Yoshida's hands.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Robinson and Yoshida goes tumbling to the canvas! Robinson follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Robinson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yoshida walks away with a smile on his face. Robinson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Yoshida tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Robinson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Yoshida drops back, looking for a kneebar! Robinson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Robinson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Robinson!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yoshida is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Robinson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Robinson's back!

Yoshida is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Robinson is defending well though. Yoshida let's go of the attempt for now.

Robinson throws a left that rocks Yoshida and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Robinson dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Yoshida regain composure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Robinson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
