Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frankie Sharpe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dee Quick!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quick drives through with a takedown into Sharpe's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sharpe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Quick defends it easily.
Quick scoring with some ground and pound.
Quick slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sharpe looking for a guillotine here but Quick defends easily.
Sharpe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sharpe doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sharpe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Quick drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sharpe manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Quick has Sharpe in his guard.

Quick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Quick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sharpe is one step ahead there.

Sharpe gets to his feet. Quick looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Quick shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Quick showed some decent athleticism there.
Quick looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sharpe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Quick is working for a submission of some sort.
Sharpe tries to roll over but Quick keeps him under control.
Quick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sharpe keeps working.

Sharpe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Quick is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Quick is trying to work for a kimura but Sharpe is defending well.

Quick is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Quick throwing shots but Sharpe is blocking nicely.
Quick scoring with strikes to the body and head.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Quick wants to take a breather but Sharpe is having none of it.

Quick connects with a couple of short punches.

Sharpe is looking for a triangle but Quick pushes his legs off easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Quick working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sharpe's head.


Sharpe is rocked!
Quick postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Sharpe covers up, he's hurt! Quick keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Quick and the ref steps in to end the fight! Quick can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dee Quick!
