The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemmens goes for a double leg but Alvarez Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Alvarez Jr continues to drive forward.
Lemmens changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Alvarez Jr fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Alvarez Jr fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lemmens checks it well.
Alvarez Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Lemmens, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Lemmens. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab lands there for Alvarez Jr.
It looks like Jonathan Lemmens has been cut.
No joy there for Lemmens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lemmens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alvarez Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alvarez Jr fails to land with a series of punches.
Oooooh!!! Alvarez Jr has knocked Lemmens down with a huge combo! Alvarez Jr steps away and waves a wobbly Lemmens back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

and Alvarez Jr counters with a huge right that knocks Lemmens out cold! Alvarez Jr is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
