The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Janowicz.
A swing and a miss from Janowicz.
Janowicz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ali sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Ali lands a jab to the head.
Ali lands with a good body shot.

Janowicz shoots in and bounces Ali off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Janowicz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ali is trying to keep Janowicz in close.
Janowicz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ali utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ali really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Janowicz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ali cracks Janowicz with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ali has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Janowicz to stand back up!
