Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Edwards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren Brown!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Darren Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Edwards takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Darren Brown has been cut.
Left hook, right uppercut from Brown.


It looks like Tim Edwards has been cut.
Edwards closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away.
Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Edwards, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Edwards against the ropes but Edwards circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Brown bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Edwards is trying to get back to half guard.
Brown is staying tight to Edwards's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Brown avoids the strikes from the bottom by Edwards.
Edwards is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Brown has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Edwards really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Edwards takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Brown should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Edwards on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Edwards is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brown's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Brown has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Brown works his foot free and advances to mount.

Edwards is wriggling around trying to escape.
Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brown looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Edwards tries to hold on but Brown pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brown looking to finish Edwards with some ground and pound. This is bad for Edwards!
Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Edwards is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount.
Brown tries to control but Edwards wriggling away.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Edwards slips a straight right by Brown.
Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Edwards is just out of range.
Brown circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Brown counters with a right hand to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Edwards is pressing down on Brown's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Brown prevents Edwards from getting back to his feet.

Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Edwards's guard.
Edwards is trying to stand back up but Brown is controlling him
Edwards flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Darren Brown has got the better of the ground game so far.
Brown passes the guard and advances to mount!
Edwards trying desperately to get to his feet.
Edwards is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Edwards is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Brown lands a heavy elbow.
Brown controlling the position easily from mount.
Edwards is squirming around, avoiding Brown's attempts to control the action.
Edwards keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Brown looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Brown avoids the attempt from Edwards to control.
Edwards tries to reverse the position but Brown maintains control.
Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Edwards is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Edwards is in all sorts of trouble here.
Edwards is working hard here to advance position.
Edwards wants to hold on but Brown pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Edwards tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Brown avoids the attempt from Edwards to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darren Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Brown moves into the clinch.
Brown takes an elbow to the temple.
Edwards keeps control of Brown as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Edwards jumps guard but Brown stands there with Edwards around his waist. Edwards gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Brown scores with a nice hook to the head.

Edwards breaks from the clinch.
Edwards misses with a kick to the body.
Brown punishes Edwards's body with a nice straight punch.
Brown paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Brown.
Brown lands a few punches from side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Edwards tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Brown looking to secure an arm triangle but Edwards defends it well.
Edwards tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Edwards is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Edwards keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brown trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Edwards is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Brown has isolated one of Edwards's arms. Edwards looking to fight him off but Brown twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
