Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tycho Brahe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiny Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim has chosen Hot In Herre - Nelly as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tycho Brahe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tiny Tim!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brahe but Brahe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Tim closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tim lands in his opponent's guard.

Tim is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tim accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tim postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tycho Brahe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tim wants to clinch up but Brahe keeps it at a distance.
Brahe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brahe wants it to stay on the feet.
Tim is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brahe blocks a head kick by Tim.
Brahe scores with a kick to the midsection.
Tim tries to clinch but Brahe moves out of range.
We've been told by Brahe's head coaches at Hilo Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Tiny Tim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tim shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brahe is trying to defend but Tim finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Tim is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brahe defends it well.
Brahe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brahe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brahe tries to get out of the position.
Tim is keen to just control but Brahe is a slippery customer.

Tim is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brahe is just riding it out for now. Tim eventually gives up the hold.

Brahe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brahe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tim on the ground.

Tim drops back looking for a leg! Brahe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brahe manages to kick Tim off! Tim jumps back into Brahe's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brahe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Tim wants to control from the top but Brahe keeps moving.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Brahe wants to sweep but no luck.
Tim content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

It looks like Tycho Brahe has been cut.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tim has gone for a leg lock! Brahe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tim's guard.

Tim wants to sweep but no luck.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Tim tries to clinch up.
Tim looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Brahe swings widly with a right hand

Tim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tim is looking to clinch.
Tim throws a sloppy head kick and Brahe moves out of range easily.
Tim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brahe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tim shoots in but no luck this time.
Tycho Brahe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiny Tim.

Our spies down at at The Cave Fighting Team inform us that Tim has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Nice takedown defense from Brahe. No joy for Tim on that attempt.
Brahe tries to bum rush Tim with a series of wild strikes but Tim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tim swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tim checks a leg kick.

and Brahe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Tim throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brahe's waist but Brahe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tim off to one side.
Brahe takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tim wants to clinch up but Brahe keeps it at a distance.

Brahe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's time! Brahe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Brahe throws a head kick but Tim moves out of range.
Brahe misses the shot to the body.
Brahe wants to land a leg kick but Tim is out of range.

Tim shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tim showed some decent athleticism there.

Tim is working for a kimura but Brahe is defending it quite comfortably.
Tim wants to take a breather but Brahe is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brahe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tim is working away from the top position though.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tim wants to take a breather but Brahe is having none of it.
Brahe is pressing down on Tim's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tim in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Brahe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tim is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tim is pulling down on Brahe's head. It's preventing any offense from Brahe, at least for the moment.

Tim is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Brahe presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Tim struggles to land a body shot inside as Brahe controls his hands.
Tim tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Brahe's elbow.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tim.

Tim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tim has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brahe after a bit of a struggle.
Brahe lands a right hand.
Brahe misses with a body punch.
Brahe lands a shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tycho Brahe.
I think Brahe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
