Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Dubin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Massimo Paterno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dubin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dubin drops an elbow to the side of Paterno's head.
Paterno is refusing to be controlled, as Dubin sits in half guard.
Paterno wants to improve his position but Dubin is controlling well.

Dubin winds up and cracks Paterno with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Paterno has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dubin is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Dubin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Paterno's guard.

Dubin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paterno swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dubin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Paterno swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dubin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paterno has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dubin has managed to get both his arms back between Paterno's legs - danger averted.

Dubin wants to stand back up but Paterno manages to pass into side control.
Dubin is trying to control Paterno's posture but Paterno avoids it.

Paterno thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Paterno has control of Dubin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dubin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Paterno looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Paterno wants to control the pace but Dubin is squirming around nicely.
Dubin has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Paterno looking to break Dubin's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dubin remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Paterno will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Paterno avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dubin swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Dubin tries to close the distance and clinch but Paterno swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dubin tries to score with a low kick but Paterno moves his leg out of the way.
Paterno has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Paterno is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Dubin has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Paterno has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Dubin taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Paterno doesn't care though - he's delighted!
