Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Nicola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eirikur Adalsteinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eirikur Adalsteinn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adalsteinn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nicola was well out of range. Poor timing from Adalsteinn.
Nicola looks to score with a jab to the body but Adalsteinn is just out of range.

Nicola throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Adalsteinn lands with a hook. Nicola tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Adalsteinn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nicola throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nicola cracks Adalsteinn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Nicola tries a head kick but it misses.
Adalsteinn steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nicola. That one must have hurt.

Adalsteinn tries to bum rush Nicola with a series of wild strikes but Nicola uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nicola lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Adalsteinn at a distance.
Nicola looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Nicola backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Adalsteinn's temple! It sends Adalsteinn violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Nicola celebrates and the doctors try to help Adalsteinn!
