Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Taylor is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gilberto Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor rushes Tucker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Taylor pulls guard.
Tucker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tucker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Tucker slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Taylor.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tucker blocks the strikes from Taylor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tucker is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Taylor wants to control but Tucker is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tucker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Taylor looking to control but Tucker passes into half guard.
Taylor pushes Tucker off looking to stand but Tucker dives back in and keeps control.

Tucker decides to return to a standing position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Taylor clinches up against the cage.
Tucker tries to stall but Taylor uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Tucker tries to land knees in the clinch but Taylor avoids the damage to the body.

Taylor manages to break the clinch.

Taylor gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The referee calls for Tucker to work.
Taylor blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Taylor has picked Tucker up - he's going for a ride! Taylor dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Tucker misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tucker won't allow Taylor to pass to mount.
Tucker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Taylor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tucker is just riding it out for now. Taylor eventually gives up the hold.
Taylor wants to control but Tucker is keeping him busy.
Tucker pushes Taylor off looking to stand but Taylor dives back in and keeps control.
Taylor is thwarting Tucker's attempts to control the position.

Tucker wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Taylor gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tucker to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tucker is fighting to break Taylor's control of his arms but Taylor is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Tucker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jake Taylor will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Taylor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tucker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Taylor is in Tucker's guard.
Taylor trying to control but Tucker is working from the bottom.
Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tucker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Taylor throws a big right hand that misses.
Tucker keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully.
Tucker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Taylor is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tucker preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Tucker is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Tucker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Taylor defends well.
Taylor looking to sit in guard and control but Tucker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Taylor strikes from his own guard.
Taylor wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tucker is now in half guard.

Taylor with the active half guard here but Tucker passes nicely into side control.

Taylor tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Taylor tries to lock up and control but Tucker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tucker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Taylor wants to hold on but Tucker pushes him away.
Tucker lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Taylor wants to control but Tucker is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Taylor working to try and regain half guard.
Taylor is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Tucker swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Taylor is now in Tucker's guard. A big mistake from Tucker there, giving up the dominant position!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Taylor wants to stand but Tucker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tucker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tucker swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Taylor throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tucker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tucker is trying to keep Taylor in close.
Taylor won't allow Tucker to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gilberto Tucker will probably get the nod.
That's time! Tucker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Tucker shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Tucker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Taylor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Taylor darts in and clinches Tucker up against the cage.
Tucker can't get the takedown.
Tucker has a couple of punches blocked by Taylor.

Taylor drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tucker works over Taylor with some ground and pound from guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Taylor is on top in guard.

Tucker wants to stand up but Taylor is controlling him.
Jake Taylor has got the better of the ground game so far.
Tucker keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Taylor gets to his feet. Tucker looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Taylor darts in and clinches Tucker up against the cage.

Taylor is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tucker can't fight it off and eventually Taylor manages to take the fight to the floor. Tucker looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Taylor pushes down on Tucker's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tucker tries to kick Taylor off but Taylor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Taylor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Taylor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tucker is just riding it out for now. Taylor eventually gives up the hold.

Taylor is keen to just control but Tucker is a slippery customer.
Tucker wants to get back to his feet.
Taylor stalling away here and it's allowed Tucker to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Taylor wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving.

Taylor advances to half guard.

Jake Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Taylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A less than humble Jake Taylor misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
