The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a wild combination.
Hazard throws a push kick but Gracie slaps the foot to one side.
Hazard scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hazard avoids it really well and circles away.
Hazard misses with a few strikes there.
Gracie tries to clinch there but Hazard circles away.
Hazard dips to his left and cracks Gracie with an uppercut!
Hazard lands a jab.
Gracie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hazard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
John Hazard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Gracie .
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gracie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hazard was covering up waiting for the punch and Gracie finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hazard has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gracie off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Gracie wants to pass the guard but Hazard is keeping the position.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hazard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gracie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
