Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nino Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cam Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nino Marques!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cam Stroud!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroud avoids the head kick by Marques.

Stroud closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stroud lands in his opponent's guard.
Stroud working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stroud scoring with punches to the head and body.
Stroud works over Marques with some ground and pound from guard.
Stroud controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Stroud stands and throws Marques's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Stroud staying calm.

I looks like Stroud might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Marques tries to bench press Stroud off him but Stroud keeps the position.
Stroud in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Stroud tries for a kimura but Marques is defending well.
Marques is looking to reverse the position.

Stroud in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Stroud decides to stand up, so the ref orders Marques to his feet.
Marques pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marques lands a head kick!
Marques gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Stroud counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stroud is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Stroud forces his way into half guard.
Marques is breathing heavily.
Still in half guard, Stroud seems content to control.
Stroud has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Stroud controlling his opponent.
Stroud has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Marques's face.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stroud breaks from Marques's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Stroud controlling from the full mount.
Stroud with a couple of short strikes.
Marques is in a horrible position here. Stroud smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cam Stroud dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stroud looks to land a combination but Marques avoids it well.
Marques moves forwards but Stroud connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Oh Marques is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Stroud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stroud throws a quick head kick that knocks Marques silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Stroud is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
