Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Msciwoj Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Barnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Msciwoj Mies!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mies just misses with a punch to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mies has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Barnett blocks a head kick by Mies.

Barnett gets caught napping as Mies dives in and scores a takedown. Barnett manages to retain guard.
Mies wants to control from the top but Barnett keeps moving.
Barnett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barnett tries to get out of the position.
Barnett is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mies is controlling him.
Barnett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mies on the ground.
Mies trying to control the position from guard on top but Barnett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Barnett is looking to stand up but Mies isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mies trying to control but Barnett is working from the bottom.
Barnett wants to stand up but Mies is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Barnett scores with the left hand. Mies knows he should have avoided that one.
Barnett tries a head kick but it misses.
Barnett throws the left hand but Mies avoids the punch easily.
Mies gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Barnett.
Barnett throws a hook but Mies avoids it easily.

Mies rushes Barnett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mies escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Barnett feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mies sprawling to the canvas! Mies rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Barnett finish him?!

It looks like Msciwoj Mies has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mies throws a half hearted mid kick.
Barnett lands a jab to Mies's midsection.
Mies looks winded!
Mies gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Barnett gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Mies is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Barnett!
