Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers comes to the ring accompanied by Demon Blues by ORANGE GOBLIN. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 2, fighting out of London, Stephen Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers throws a front kick aimed at Cerrone's knee but Cerrone avoids it well.
Rogers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Rogers with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cerrone misses with a wild combination.

Cerrone forces Rogers back against the ropes and clinches.

Rogers creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
We've been hearing reports that Rogers has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Cerrone works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cerrone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rogers lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cerrone is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Rogers reverses the position - he's now on top in Cerrone's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rogers doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Stephen Cerrone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cerrone takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Rogers looks to score with a jab to the body but Cerrone is just out of range.
Rogers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cerrone. That did some damage!
Rogers throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cerrone.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rogers tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Cerrone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cerrone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rogers throws out the jab.
Rogers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cerrone sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd cheers as Rogers lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cerrone doesn't seem phased though.

Cerrone punishes Rogers's body with a nice straight punch.

Cerrone lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Cerrone tries to work over Rogers's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Still in the clinch, Rogers scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cerrone lands a nice uppercut.
Cerrone tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steve Rogers will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Rogers misses with a looping left.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rogers! Cerrone is out on his feet! Rogers rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cerrone is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cerrone is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Rogers!
As Steve Rogers got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Barnes.....170 needs a champ not a belt model....just sayin' ......I feel right at home here at 170 and this old mans' still got a lot of fight left in em'. Thanks to my trainers, the AFLC, and all the fans I LOVE YOU!!'.
