Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kiefa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Smith chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kiefa can pounce on him.
Smith avoids the head kick by Kiefa.
Kiefa throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Smith takes a kick to the side of the head.
Smith tries to clinch but Kiefa moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Smith counters with a single leg into guard. Kiefa didn't expect that.

Smith stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Smith takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Smith misses with a wild combination.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kiefa.
Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kiefa but Kiefa pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Smith counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kiefa's guard now.

Kiefa looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Smith puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kiefa is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Smith passes the guard and advances to mount!

Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kiefa is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.
Smith throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Kiefa has his hands clasped together but Smith breaks the hold and Kiefa is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Smith!
