Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sal Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sal Phelps is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick fails with the takedown
and Phelps counters with a nice body shot.
Phelps shoots in and drives through. Quick sprawls well.
Quick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Phelps as he jumps to the side.
Quick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sal Phelps has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dee Quick.
Phelps throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Phelps circles away.
Phelps tries to score a power double leg takedown but Quick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Phelps somewhat.

Quick feints and as Phelps raises his hands in defense, Quick changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quick can do anything to dispel that myth.

Phelps could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

I really don't envy Phelps right now.

Quick is trying to stick to Phelps's back but Phelps is turning into Quick. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Quick's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Phelps.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Phelps escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quick gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quick with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Quick won't allow Phelps to sweep him here.
Quick stands and throws Phelps's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Quick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Phelps knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Quick throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Phelps's waist but Phelps gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quick off to one side.

Phelps has hold of Quick's hands but Quick slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Oh Phelps is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Quick is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Quick gets to his feet and stands over Phelps, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Phelps felt that one! Quick unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Phelps from any more punishment!
