Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orion Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 27 - 2, fighting out of New York, Otis Gein!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gein comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cook looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gein is fending him off so far but Cook persists. Nope, Gein circles away and we're back to standing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gein. Cook does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gein misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cook.
Gein shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cook defends it nicely.
Gein sizes up Cook with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gein throws a big shot that misses.
Gein misses with a takedown attempt - Cook sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cook tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gein manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gein keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cook looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gein misses with a hook. Cook ducked under it nicely.

Gein gets a takedown into half guard.
Gein keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Gein prevents Cook from improving his position.
Cook keeping control of the position.
Cook moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Gein with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cook trying to control the position.
Gein missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gein postures up in Cook's guard and throws a big left but Cook blocks it.
Cook is trying to keep Gein in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cook is on top in guard.

Gein trying to keep a closed guard but Cook is proving a slippery customer.
Cook postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cook throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cook trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Cook postures up in Gein's guard and throws a big left but Gein blocks it.
Gein is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gein is thwarting Cook's attempts to control the position.
Gein throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cook to regain full guard.
Cook looking for a sweep. Not yet Cook, not yet.
Gein passes into half guard.
Gein thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cook is staying active underneath Gein, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gein throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cook is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gein's back!
Cook lands a shot to the head.
Gein tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Cook with a couple of short strikes.
Gein working to try and regain half guard.
Cook raining down hammerfists from mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cook working the ground and pound effectively.
Cook unloading with bombs!
Cook postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Gein bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Cook and the fight is over!
