Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem - Legacy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson darts in looking for a takedown but Sanchez gets double underhooks and turns Anderson into the cage.
Anderson tries to throw a body punch but Sanchez avoids it by throwing Anderson back against the cage.
Sanchez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Sanchez has clasped his hands together around Anderson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Sanchez advances nicely into full mount.
Sanchez is landing with some decent strikes but Anderson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Anderson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Anderson regains half guard.

Sanchez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Anderson is just riding it out for now. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold.
Anderson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Sanchez is posturing up here but Anderson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sanchez tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sanchez has to tap! Slick submission there by Anderson!

Alexander Anderson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
