Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isaiah Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard rushes Ferguson and presses him up against the cage.

Howard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ferguson shoots and misses

and Howard counters with a shoot takedown. Ferguson fights it but they end up in guard.
Howard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Howard's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Howard in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Howard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Howard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ferguson tries to get to full guard but Howard has control of the leg.
Howard is taking a breather. Ferguson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Howard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferguson on the ground.

Ferguson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Howard is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Howard has escaped and now he's on top!

Howard gets to his feet. Ferguson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Howard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ferguson circles away quickly and effectively.
Howard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ferguson can do to turn this around?
Ferguson darts in looking for a takedown but Howard gets double underhooks and turns Ferguson into the cage.

Ferguson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ferguson, into his guard.

Howard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferguson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ferguson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Howard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Howard stays in close to Ferguson's body and controls the position.

Howard stands and steps away. Ferguson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Ferguson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Howard's waist but Howard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferguson off to one side.

Howard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ferguson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Howard decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ferguson to his feet.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Howard lands a jab.
Ferguson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Howard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Howard drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Howard stays in close to Ferguson's body and controls the position.

Howard drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ferguson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ferguson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ferguson!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ferguson shoots in and drives through. Howard sprawls well.

Howard closes the distance and pushes Ferguson back into the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferguson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Howard should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ferguson has tightened it up now! Howard should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
