Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bern Nadet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Lester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bern Nadet!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nadet shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lester avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nadet.
Nadet is keen to just control but Lester is a slippery customer.
Nadet working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nadet is looking to take a break and control but Lester is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lester wants to control but Nadet is keeping busy.
Lester keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nadet frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Lester really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Nadet tries to control but Lester wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lester wants to control but Nadet is having none of it.
Lester is desperately trying to improve his position but Nadet has a good base and remains in mount.
Lester is bucking up trying to escape but Nadet cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Lester wants to hold on but Nadet pushes him away.
Lester regains half guard.

Nadet is pressing down on Lester's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lester is holding on for now.
Lester gets full guard.
Nadet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lester swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nadet wants to control from the top but Lester keeps moving.
Nadet is looking to work some ground and pound but Lester has wrist control.
Lester is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nadet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lester closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nadet circles away.
Lester fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Nadet closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Nadet perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Nadet moves into full mount! Lester won't be happy about that!

Lester sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lester wants to get back to full guard.
Lester is not content to let Nadet control the position.
Lester gets full guard.
Nadet keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lester's head.
Lester is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nadet looking to pass the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bern Nadet dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Lester shoots for a takedown but Nadet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mike Lester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nadet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nadet throws a chopping leg kick but Lester manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Lester works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Nadet is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lester tries to roll over but Nadet keeps him under control.

Lester has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nadet is working away from the top position though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nadet swings for the body but Lester moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lester or perhaps it was just good defense by Nadet, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Lester. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lester shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nadet pinned against the cage. Nadet gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nadet lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lester circles away quickly and effectively.
Nadet throws a leg kick but Lester moved away.
Nadet tries to clinch but Lester is having none of it.
Nadet leaves Lester with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nadet takes a swing at Lester's ribcage but misses.

Lester has his takedown stuffed

and Nadet counters with a single leg into guard. Lester didn't expect that.
Nadet lands a couple of elbows.

Lester is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nadet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lester swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bern Nadet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lester shoots in for a double leg but Nadet sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Nadet throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Nadet swings for the body but Lester moves out of range.

Lester drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nadet pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lester displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nadet.

Bern Nadet is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nadet wants to control for a moment but Lester uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Lester holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bern Nadet comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nadet has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
