Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ruden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Honda Dedechi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dedechi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Daler Mehndi - Tunak Tunak Tun. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Ruden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Honda Dedechi!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dedechi misses with an uppercut. Ruden saw that one coming.
Dedechi misses with a straight right.
Ruden sizes up Dedechi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.


It looks like Honda Dedechi has been cut.
Dedechi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ruden drops his hands momentarily and Dedechi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like Joe Ruden has been cut.
Ruden displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Ruden takes a swing at Dedechi's ribcage but misses.
Ruden displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dedechi throws out the jab.
Dedechi throws a nice inside leg kick.
Ruden rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dedechi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ruden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've been informed that Dedechi has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ruden throws a front kick aimed at Dedechi's knee but Dedechi avoids it well.

Ruden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dedechi tries to avoid it but Ruden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dedechi to the ground. Dedechi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Ruden. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Honda Dedechi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Dedechi is taking a breather. Ruden says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

I would just about give that final round to Honda Dedechi.
