Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Popeye Orion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and New Chad Slone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). New Chad Slone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orion fails with an attempt to clinch.
Slone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Slone shoots in but Orion avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Orion doesn't manage to clinch there - Slone circles away.
Orion tries to clinch but Slone is having none of it.
Orion throws a nice looking combination but Slone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Slone fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Orion, pushing him back against the cage.
Orion misses with a hook from the clinch.

Orion decides to pull guard.
Orion pulls Slone in close to his closed guard and prevents Slone from doing any damage or advancing position.
Slone stopping the sweep attempt from Orion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Orion's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slone is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Orion has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Slone is looking to defend but Orion has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Slone! Orion pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Slone taps out and this one is all over!
