Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jurgen Wexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roda Macron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurgen Wexler had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Roda Macron has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jurgen Wexler's chin.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wexler doesn't manage to clinch there - Macron circles away.
Wexler takes one to the side of the head.
Wexler throws a nice looking combination but Macron bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wexler misses with a takedown
and Macron counters with a left and a right that stings Wexler.
Horrible takedown attempt by Macron or perhaps it was just good defense by Wexler, which made it look bad.

and Macron moves into the clinch.

Macron tries to clinch there but Wexler circles away.
Wexler misses with a jab, cross combination.
Macron shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wexler eats them both and turns towards Macron to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Macron looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Macron is pressed up against the cage. Wexler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Macron down to the mat. Macron avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wexler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Macron swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Wexler counters with a head kick.
Macron scores with a hook to the body. Wexler takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Macron drives through and clinches with Wexler against the cage.
Macron is trying to drag Wexler to the mat but Wexler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Wexler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wexler lands with a nice combination. Macron backs away looking to recover.
Wexler goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Macron misses with a two punch combination.
Wexler tries a head kick but it misses.
Wexler shoots in but Macron avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wexler is breathing heavily.
Wexler tries to move into range but Macron moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Jurgen Wexler has been cut.

and Wexler counters with a head kick. That will keep Macron thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Macron shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wexler napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Macron tries to score with some ground and pound. Wexler controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Wexler is looking to regain half guard here but Macron keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Macron has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wexler is working away from the top position though.
Macron wants to improve his position but Wexler is controlling well.
Macron won't allow Wexler to pass to mount.
Wexler wants to stand up but Macron has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Macron really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wexler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wexler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Macron has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Macron misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wexler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wexler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Macron sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wexler somewhat.

No joy there for Macron, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Macron is trying to drag Wexler to the mat but Wexler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jurgen Wexler.
I think Macron has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
