PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doc Cochran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Prince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cochran is trying hard to land a takedown here. Prince sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cochran closes this distance looking for a takedown but Prince circles away.
Prince throws a push kick but Cochran slaps the foot to one side.
Prince slips under a jab.
Cochran closes the distance and clinches up with Prince, looking for a takedown. Cochran pushes Prince against the cage but Prince circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doc Cochran. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cochran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Prince throws a nice inside leg kick.

Cochran throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prince.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cochran wants to get back to full guard.

Cochran throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Cochran instigates a clinch.

Prince is trying to trip Cochran. He has hold of a leg but Cochran is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Prince persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Cochran looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Prince has picked Cochran up and slammed him! Cochran can't keep hold of the triangle and Prince manages to pass to side control!

It looks like Prince might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Cochran moves out of range as Prince throws a body kick.
Prince moves in looking to clinch but Cochran pushes him off.
Doc Cochran is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Prince pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cochran is out of range and Prince settles back down.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Prince darts in and clinches Cochran up against the cage.

Prince lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cochran backwards.

Doc Cochran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Prince.
Cochran throws out a leg kick but Prince moves out of range and Cochran only half commits.
Cochran tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Prince was well out of range. Poor timing from Cochran.

Prince gets tackled into the cage by Cochran. Cochran maintains the clinch.

Prince tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cochran is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Cochran is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Prince is keeping busy.
A frustrated look appears on Cochran's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Louis Prince showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Cochran will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
