The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sukeyuki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramirez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Ramirez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ramirez is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Sukeyuki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sukeyuki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Ramirez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sukeyuki wants to control but Ramirez is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sukeyuki throws a strike but Ramirez avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Ramirez slips a jab and a cross from Sukeyuki .
Ramirez wants to clinch.
Ramirez shoots in and drives through. Sukeyuki sprawls well.
Ramirez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sukeyuki .
Ramirez gets caught napping as Sukeyuki dives in and scores a takedown. Ramirez manages to retain guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ramirez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Sukeyuki frees his head nicely. Oh but Ramirez has switched to an armbar! Sukeyuki is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
