Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dawid Rafal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Cabrillo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rafal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cabrillo.
Cabrillo slips a jab from Rafal.
Cabrillo misses with an uppercut
and Rafal counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Rafal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rafal punishes Cabrillo's body with a nice straight punch.
Rafal misses with a left hand
and Cabrillo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rafal thinking.
Cabrillo throws a jab when Rafal was well out of range.
Cabrillo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rafal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Rafal pushes Cabrillo away with a front kick.
Rafal on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rafal throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Rafal throws a series of punches but Cabrillo moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rafal gets caught napping as Cabrillo dives in and scores a takedown. Rafal manages to retain guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cabrillo moves out of range as Rafal strikes.
Rafal fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cabrillo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rafal has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rafal there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cabrillo loads up on a big right hand but Rafal slips the punch.

Cabrillo tries to bum rush Rafal with a series of wild strikes but Rafal uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Rafal counters with a straight right hand.

Cabrillo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Rafal feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cabrillo's calf.
Cabrillo blocks a low kick nicely.
Rafal throws a push kick but Cabrillo slaps the foot to one side.
Rafal lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rafal wants to slow Cabrillo down by chopping away at his legs.
Rafal throws a chopping leg kick but Cabrillo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Cabrillo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rafal's guard.
Rafal is pulling down on Cabrillo's head. It's preventing any offense from Cabrillo, at least for the moment.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That was a close round but I would say that Dawid Rafal will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cabrillo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rafal sprawls well. Rafal wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cabrillo gets slowly back to his feet.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Rafal really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Cabrillo.

Rafal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rafal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cabrillo turns into Rafal and is now in his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
