Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Biles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafal Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Biles to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Biles is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wallace trying to keep a closed guard but Biles is proving a slippery customer.
Biles works over Wallace with some ground and pound from guard.
Wallace utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wallace not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Biles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Biles working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wallace's head.
Biles postures up in Wallace's guard and throws a big left but Wallace blocks it.

Wallace had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Biles defends it easily.
Biles chips away with some ground and pound.

Biles wants to pass the guard but Wallace is keeping the position.
Biles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wallace told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Biles lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Biles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Biles postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Biles is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Biles scoring with punches to the head and body.

Biles works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Biles is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Biles wants to work for an arm triangle but Wallace is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Biles is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wallace moves into full guard.

Biles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Biles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Biles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wallace is keeping the position for now.

Biles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Biles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wallace controls Biles momentarily but Biles frees himself.
Biles postures up and lands a big shot to Wallace's brow.

Wallace is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Biles is aware though and is defending well.
Biles connects with a couple of short punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Biles is working Wallace over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Wallace is trying to control the position but Biles postures up.
Biles lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Biles postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Biles drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Biles as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Wallace screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Biles! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Ryan Biles!
Ryan Biles decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
