Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Waldbauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Frazier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albert Waldbauer!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waldbauer doesn't manage to clinch there - Frazier circles away.
Frazier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Waldbauer misses with a wild combination.
Waldbauer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Frazier takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Frazier darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Frazier working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Frazier throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Waldbauer was covering up waiting for the punch and Frazier finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Frazier slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Waldbauer wants to get back to his feet but Frazier is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Waldbauer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Frazier controls the pace.

Frazier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Waldbauer's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Waldbauer manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Frazier keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Waldbauer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Frazier circles away quickly and effectively.
Waldbauer throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

No joy there for Waldbauer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Waldbauer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Waldbauer lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Waldbauer misses with a few strikes there.
Frazier shoots for a double leg takedown but Waldbauer sprawls well. He's pushed Frazier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
